The Ferrari 126C2 Formula 1 car
Was developed for the 1982 season, with Didier Pironi and Gilles Villeneuve as their pilots. Though it was a success full year for the Ferrari team, it was a tragic year for its pilots as Villeneuve made a deadly crash at the Grand Prix of Belgium and Pironi crashed at the German Grand Prix putting an end at his racing career.
The 1/8 scale model is based on the PROMOCOM (Italy) which made some such kits available, but these were almost impossible to build due to lacking pieces and very complicated building methods. So here, once again, many pieces had to be rebuild from scratch and a reviewed method to build the model was designed to get to the completion of the model.
