This car was developed in 1963 by Frank Winchell and Zora Arkus-Duntov and a team of engineers at GM, but as the news that a team of GS had been successfully tested, with promising results, for races that same year at Nassau and in 1964 also at the Sebring race. The GM Chairman Frederic Donner made it clear that GM would respect the American Motor Association (AMA) ban and ordered to stop the racing program. The homologation run of 125 cars was cancelled, fortunately enough parts had been fabricated to build 5 cars that were loaned to Corvette friendly outsiders without any assistance of GM. In later years they were only to be seen on racetracks in the USA.

This 1/8 scale model of the chassis N°4 car was developed and built based on pictures available and some given by persons who have a real car at their disposition. The complete frame, suspension and direction were realized in solid brass, many others parts were made in molded resin. The three radiators have a brass frame and steel blades. Wheel hubs are made of stainless steel and wheel butterflies of aluminum. The body was completely scratch built, making the typical engine hood, shortened front fenders and many more GS specifications. The typical injection manifolds had to be developed and machined at home. To get close to reality, the Halibrand wheels were home made to the specifications of the wheels on the real car. The stripes are vinyl and as on the real car these are over painted on the front of the nose. Professional car paint with the matching color codes were used to get a maximum effect.
